AUTH partner spreads the word of CAPTAIN in the 84th TIF

CAPTAIN coordinator, AUTH Medical Physics Laboratory, had an active presence in the 84th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF), held between 7-15 September 2019. The TIF is the largest exhibition event of in Greece and the Balkans with B2B, B2C and B2G organizational features, thematic exhibitions and other events. Focusing on entrepreneurship and innovation, the TIF promotes economy, strategic partnerships and investments, attracting representatives from the largest markets in the world. Besides, the last decades, the TIF has also been a cultural and social event that attracts all ages.

The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, along with the Greek Ministry of Education and the rest national Higher Education Organizations and Research Centres, participates every year in the Fair, promoting the excellence of its research groups and their achievements, aiming at their national and international recognition, as well as at the dissemination and exploitation of research outcomes outside the University.

This year, the AUTH Medical Physics Laboratory was selected among other University research groups to demonstrate its innovative technological solutions and tools, developed in the framework of its research activity and participation in European and national projects, including the CAPTAIN H2020 project.

In its stand, AUTH MedPhys Lab partner had a live demo of the tangible interphase and 3D features of the CAPTAIN home assistant for older adults. Hundreds of people of all ages visited the stand and interacted with the so-called “CAPTAIN box” and system’s technology, giving their positive feedback and comments of this experience.
