AMEN's one-day workshop on new technologies as a means of assisting Healthcare professionals

"Archangelos Michael" nursing home (AMEN) invited professionals and researchers from the Healthcare sector to an one-day workshop, held last December in Nicosia, Cyprus. The workshop was entitled "Alzheimer’s’ 21st Century: Modern Technological Challenges in the hands of Health Professionals". The event was attended by a great number of stakeholders (professionals and caregivers), who attended a series of speeches on cognitive and physical impairment, concerning the needs of people at the Third Age, as well as on dementia, and how new technologies and ICTs could assist both professionals and family caregivers to improve the quality of life of older adults and to help them increase skills and competences, in order to maintain their autonomy levels. The whole workshop was supported by the CAPTAIN project team of AUTH and AMEN partners.
