In the framework of the PM-15 Coaching Alliance initiative*, CAPTAIN Project co-organises, along with two other European projects in virtual coaching (NESTORE and EMPATHIC) a webinar on how to handle data sharing in compliance with the latest regulations and ethics in research projects on healthy ageing.
 

Captain Project had a joint presentation, along with InAdvance project H2020 and Long Lasting Memories-LLM Care service system. between 14th-17th November in the 6th Panhellenic Conference of the Hellenic Dementia Society in Portaria, Pelion, entitled "Masterclasses in Dementia 2019".

INI-Novation GmbH as work package leader for commercial exploitation of CAPTAIN services established liaisons with the so-called Knowledge Innovation Centers ("KICs") of the European Institute for Innovation and Technology ("EIT"), namely with EIT Digital and EIT Health. The core collaborative activities targeted meetings with decision makers of public health funds and insurance companies to receive feed-back on market positioning for the innovative service to be offered by CAPTAIN.

CAPTAIN project Italian partners, APSS, Social IT and UNITN, participated to the first Focus Live Festival in Trento, organized by Focus, the Italian monthly popular science magazine, in collaboration with the local science museum MUSE (18-20 October 2019).

Dr. Louise Hopper presented at the Irish Gerontological Society’s (IGS) 67th Annual and Scientific Meeting looking at Innovation, Advances and Excellence in Ageing in County Cork. She presented ‘Engaging Older Adults in Co-Creating a Virtual Coaching Assistant (CAPTAIN) to support Independent living at home’ on the 28th of September, which resulted in a published abstract.

On September 16-17th, CAPTAIN partner Social IT participated to the "Horizon2020 Artificial Intelligence & Health" Brokerage Event, which took place in Oslo, Norway.

4-6 November - CAPTAIN coordinator Panagiotis Bamibis (AUTH) and project Technical coordinator Evdokimos Konstantinidis (NIVELY/ AUTH) meet up CAPTAIN Advisory board member McGill University Assoc. Prof. and CRIR co-Director Eva Kehayia in Montreal.

CAPTAIN project has defined a methodology that is used within the living labs and followed by all the pilot and the technical partners by involving end-users and stakeholders. The public deliverable D7.3 presents how the end-users and external stakeholders are engaged in the processes of design, implementation and evaluation, by defining the CAPTAIN Stakeholder community.

CAPTAIN coordinator, AUTH Medical Physics Laboratory, had an active presence in the 84th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF), held between 7-15 September 2019. The TIF is the largest exhibition event of in Greece and the Balkans with B2B, B2C and B2G organizational features, thematic exhibitions and other events. Focusing on entrepreneurship and innovation, the TIF promotes economy, strategic partnerships and investments, attracting representatives from the largest markets in the world.

On the 3rd of September, the CAPTAIN project received the 2018 Best Living Lab Project Award by the European Network of Living Labs (ENoLL), a distinction received after a public voting held last spring among 14 candidate co-creation Living Lab projects from all over the network.
